Homework Oct. 31 - Nov. 3

Due to the busy and tiring week for your child, I will be giving a bit less homework.  Please keep in mind that all homework is due on Thursday.  Please check that both sides are completed entirely.  Thank you.

There will be a grammar page sent home.  Please make sure that the capital letters are TRUE capital letters.  There should only be one in the sentence unless proper nouns are in the sentence.  Your child is working hard on remembering to use capital letters at the beginning of every sentence and use punctuation and spacing.  Their writing is improving DAILY!  I'm so proud of them and how much they try and write about fun and interesting things.  I have such an amazing class!!

Another homework page will be reviewing contractions as well as creating action words by adding 'ing'.  We talk at school about "The King of ing" at the ending of words.  Help your child by listening for the ing sound.  Contractions this week will be contracting with the word, not.  Please help your child add the eyelash (apostrophe) in the appropriate place.  Discuss with your child what letters are squished out where the apostrophe is placed.
